Can we have Science without democratization?

Good question.
Science is Modernity's attempt to democratize knowledge of the Universe, which was once reserved for the few. By attempting to grant the many an idealized access to its repository, Science has encountered a double wall that sets hard limits on its ambition: a) it has idiotized itself as an institution, limiting both the quality and quantity of actual new knowledge that it can and will produce (constantly bumping, like a child, into "discoveries" of facts that Philosophy and Spirituality had long stated); and b) it has run into its own epistemological frontier. Ironically, the latter happened on the very same day that Science's brutish, ridiculously materialistic version decided to pursue its method further. This rabid version of Science, like a zombie, keeps going even when declared dead upon that fateful day of reckoning, by ignoring the fruits of its own labor: early Quantum Mechanics experiments proved the limits/expiration of the old paradigm, whose beaten and delusional champions, in a effort to remain relevant at all costs, even at the cost of the legitimacy of Science itself, keep pretending that their defeated paradigm can yell louder than the truly advanced versions of Science, embodied by non-materialistic efforts to delve into the mysteries of reality. Given this state of institutional schizophrenia, Science, as overcompensation and guided by its democratic pursuit, bred an ideology: Scientism, which has spelled the suicide of the institution. Perhaps it is not only democracies who kill themselves routinely, but also any other human practice that lives long enough to descend into this imbecile path.

Venezuela quiere futuro

A quien pueda interesar:

No ...

Closing remarks: my political asylum application interview at USCIS

At the tail end of USCIS' interview of political asylum applicants, the immigration officer in charge of the interview process gives both council (the applicant's attorney) and client (the applicant) an opportunity to state any closing remarks. I did not utilize my opportunity. Therefore, I wish to turn those minutes that I gave up and express those ideas in written form. I am technically not under oath as I type these words, yet they are absolutely truthful:

The Marxist regime that controls Venezuela is at war with the United States of America. I am a friend of the United States: a place and a people that have given me and my family another chance at life. I have thoroughly demonstrated my willingness to further serve this country (the USA) and to contribute to its society. My actions and personal trajectory constitute the proven track record that backs up that willingness.

I am an enemy of the Marxist regime that controls Venezuela: a rogue state run by a criminal syndicate. Were I ever ...

Regime change or hot air

Regime change in Venezuela is in the best interests of the Venezuelan nation, first and foremost; also of the Western Hemisphere and, consequently, of the United States. You tell me what better "policy option" to craft and puruse. This course of action is the logical result of setting the national security goal to defeat the major drug cartels in the Americas, while facing off a regime that IS a drug cartel. Let me say that again: the 'Cartel de los Soles' ("Cartel of the Suns" ) IS the Government of Venezuela. Is this finally clear, or do you require another 26 years of utter destruction of the most beautiful country on the planet?

P.S.:
I'm not talking about strategy here, as I've done elsewhere. I don't know the current US strategy or what exactly it is that Operation Southern Spear entails. I'm talking about policy choices. The alternative policy to regime change in Venezuela is "hot air" (rhetoric). Let me end this with a working list of geopolitical entities who benefit from hot air:

  • The ...
